A Note to People Wanting to Teach in Japan
One friend of mine, an introvert,
hated his English school. In my opinion though he was never
suited to being an English teacher. This seems
to be a problem all over Japan, people who come from
their home country and end up in jobs that don`t suit
them--in the case of Japan, that usually means they
become English teachers.
My friend is now in a different line of work, and it
seems to suit him better.
*Really: do yourself, future employers and students a
favour. Are you outgoing? Are you really suited to
being an English teacher. If not, please don`t
waste everyone`s time. It is an all too common
problem in Japan, of people hired to be teachers, that
don`t suit the job.
